Psychological Therapy for Adults
I provide individual psychological therapy for adults experiencing a range of mental health and emotional difficulties. Therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your individual needs, values, and goals.
People seek support for many reasons, including anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma-related difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and difficulties adjusting to life transitions. Whether concerns are recent or long-standing, therapy provides a space to better understand what has been happening and to develop strategies that support meaningful change.
My approach is calm, structured, and evidence-based. I have a particular interest in supporting men, young adults, and individuals navigating complex trauma or high-risk periods in their life. I work collaboratively with clients to explore contributing factors, build insight, and develop practical skills to improve wellbeing and day-to-day functioning.
Areas I commonly work with include:
- Complex trauma and high-risk presentations
- Men navigating anxiety, trauma, and major life changes
- Young adults adjusting to life transitions
- Anxiety and stress-related concerns
- Depression and low mood
- Emotional regulation challenges
Therapeutic Approach:
I draw on evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with trauma-informed methods including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), informed by trauma-aware and neuroaffirming practice. My approach is structured rather than loosely open-ended, but flexible in practice — moving between practical, skills-based work and slower, more experiential processing depending on what a session calls for. Therapy is paced according to individual needs, with an emphasis on safety, collaboration, and practical outcomes.
